You won't need to boot to install Scrippy. You don't need to close any programs either, unless you have a previous version of Scrippy running - please do close that.
If you are upgrading or re-installing Scrippy you can download the current version and run the normal installation procedure. It is not necessary to uninstall the previous version first, and your Scrippy settings will be retained.
To download and install the current version of Scrippy, click on the download link below. A few seconds after that the download should begin. You will have a choice of running the installation program from its current location or saving it to disk. The "Run this program from its current location" option is simpler - the rest of the process will run automatically. If you want to keep a copy of the installation program on your disk, use the other choice and run the installation program manually after downloading.
The download is about 1.3Mb and should take about 4 minutes when using a 56k modem connection.
